That is indeed true; no matter what we say, no matter what we describe below has nothing to do with the experience of Vamvakou as such and of all that we will experience together for a third year in a row at Vamvakou Experience Festival! A three-day festival full of authentic experiences, from July, 14 to 16 of 2023, organised by Vamvakou Revival with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
A summer festival on the mountain, over 20 events, activities and programs for everyone, three days full of experiences falling under the four pillars of Culture & Education, Sports & Wellbeing, Innovation & Technology, Gastronomy & Agrifood. As in previous years, we are inviting our friends and supporters, nature and mountain afficiona-dos and the admirers of the village to join us in this big summer feast at the heart of Mount Parnon and the village of Vamvakou. This year’s festival is of particular importance as we will be celebrating the 5th anni-versary of the initiative for the revival of the village and, thus, Vamvakou Revival has prepared, with lots of love for the place, an extensive programme with original activities addressed to all!
And, as “I need your love as fuel to escape from the fruitless days”, we will have with us Kostis Marave-yas for a big concert at the school of the village. The Legends of the emblematic 2004 football team will make it to Vamvakou for scoring, mentoring and show along with our little visitors. The well-known chef Timos Zaharatos will be presenting unique recipes conceived particularly for you during the Graviera Pro-ject. An original artistic hike is expected to attract the interest of everyone, featuring ballet pieces with choreographies by Konstantinos Rigos, Yannis Nikolaidis and Elena Kekkou and with music by Giorgos Koumendakis and Antonis Vlachos, in collaboration with the Greek National Opera (GNO). Special guest the radio producer Giorgos Mouchtaridis for a dj set at Ruga of Vamvakou Homes. Crazy Formula courses, tracks, wheels, toy cars, 4×4 and F1 in Schools will show up in the village, while, this year too, The Field of Life will be with us with original educational, cultural and sports programs for children, as well as the school programmes by Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
