The music group Oros Ensemble returns to Vamvakou for a fourth year in a row! Having established by now a profound relation with the place and its inhabitants, the ensemble returns to its creative base in order to coexist once again with the village community. As in previous years, the residency of the musicians will include a complete series of music activities.
On Holy Friday, Oros Ensemble will stage a music performance in an ambience of devoutness, which focuses on lament both as an expression of loss and as the ultimate pursuit of consolation and healing. By building on the tradition established in Vamvakou, an exploration will take place through a varied music program in order to examine how lament can become a point of no return, out of which Rebirth and Resurrection inevitably emerge.
