An original workshop during which participants will construct a dark booth with simple materials in order to calculate the diameter of the Sun with great precision!Based on fundamental principles of geometry, the children will construct and comprehend the function of the booth and through it observe, from the school yard, the reflection of the Sun and measure its dimensions.
Then, the participants will return to the room to calculate the diameter of the Sun and compare the value they found with the value of the other groups/participants, as well as with the real value.
