V.Lab opens its doors to the public

A pioneering new technology hub, the V.Lab (Vamvakou Technology Lab fully powered by Stavros Niarchos Foundation), opens its doors to the public and offers free trial robotics lessons from Saturday 19 October to Saturday 9 November, in Vamvakou Laconia.  The school was recently renovated and transformed into a state-of-the-art technology center with 3D printers, interactive whiteboards, modern teleconference systems, laptops, and a Lego EV3, providing the opportunity for young people in the area—and beyond—to explore new technologies.

The first lesson will be held on Saturday, October 19, for children ages 9 to 14, and on Sunday, October 20, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Vamvakou school grounds and learn about its new offerings for kids. Free lessons, familiarizing young people with robotics, programming, engineering, 3D design, Internet of Things (IoT), and mathematics, will take place at Vamvakou’s school. In addition to STEAM programs for children, V.Lab will function as a modern PC Lab and will offer programs for digital skills and familiarity with computers for adults.

Registration for the courses will be held on November 10, a day dedicated to innovation and technology.

The V.Lab is part of the Vamvakou Revival initiative, implemented by the Vamvakou Revival team with the collaboration and support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
