A unique exhibition of handmade creations will be hosted at the Vamvakou School this August. The embroidery exhibition showcasing works by Eleni Valasaki is dedicated to tradition, creativity and the value of craftsmanship.
Through elaborate embroidery works, the patience, imagination and dedication of the embroiderer, who has kept this precious art form alive, come to the fore. Each pattern, every stitch and every colour tells its own story, connecting the past with the present.
The exhibition offers a journey into Greek folk tradition through the beauty and detail of handmade creations, while highlighting embroidery as a valuable legacy of our folk culture.
Exhibition Opening
On Saturday, 1 August 2026, the exhibition will open to the public with a presentation by Gianna Katsougraki and musical accompaniment by the ensemble Feyrouz, performing timeless, contemporary and original melodies.
