Clay Play Stories | Museum of Emotions

School

With the accompaniment of classical music and sensorial clay play, we will share our stories making the most out of them to unleash all the emotions they arouse. Filled with emotions, we will then create artwork out of clay. And finally, we will exhibit our works, converse with one another, and transform Vamvakou School into a Museum of Emotions!

Clay play stories: a multisensory natural material originating from the Earth, but also returning to the Earth, constituting thus one of the most environmentally friendly materials. Clay is one of the substances that men and animals first used for their creations. It is as easy to mold clay into an object as it is to destroy it. In this session, natural clay is linked to human stories. Stories and clay have one thing in common: when employing either, people can create in the same way as they can destroy. In this session, we aim to communicate, join forces, play, exercise, relax, reconcile with our mistakes, and drop the “shoulds”. Let the moment and the process work impulsively, without expecting immediate outcomes. This is how we can connect with nature and with our true self, “here and now”!
