Vamvakou showed “Anything that Matters” to Ina Tarantou

Journalist Ina Tarantou and the new national television (ERT1) show “Anything that Matters” (Greek title: ”O,ti axizei”) made a special stop on Mount Parnon, in Vamvakou, Laconia. This new production highlights human stories, local initiatives, and innovative ideas that revive and keep alive the places of the Greek countryside.

At the heart of this episode lies the Vamvakou Revival Initiative, implemented with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) — an effort that bridges the past with the future and breathes new life into the mountain village of Parnon. The place, the life, the people, the activities, and the everyday stories are illuminated through the eyes of those who live, create, grow, and love Vamvakou.

The show captures a community that flourishes through culture, innovation, sustainable tourism, and agri-food activity, forming an inspiring example of collective effort and sustainable development. With sensitivity and honesty, the camera and narration reveal “what truly matters” the people, the challenges, the hope, and the future of our village.
