Traditional Easter Sunday celebration

On Easter Sunday, Vamvakou Square comes alive with music and aromas as Vamvakou Revival hosts a traditional feast that brings residents and visitors together. The festive Easter spirit, local flavors and the warmth of the community blend into a gathering reminiscent of past times. The rhythm is led by the distinctive and acclaimed Spartan performer Christiana Galiatsou on vocals and the authentic folk artist Thodoris Mermigas on guitar and vocals, joined by an outstanding group of musicians: Sotiris Margonis on violin, Fanis Fotopoulos on clarinet, Kostas Anagnostou on bouzouki and Evi Kanellou on percussion. Together, they invite young and old to join hands in a large dance circle, celebrating with authentic traditional and folk melodies.
