At the Vamvakou School, no traditional classes are held. Here, time is reversed and all becomes possible. The learning environment is not made of desks; it’s made of vibrant and creative learning resources: LEGO bricks become the tool to create imaginary worlds; toys are transformed into musical instruments as children play with notes sparked by their imagination. Natural materials surrounding us are turned into elaborate constructions and unique games that challenge both mind and soul. Here, books are available not only for reading but as a path to narrate our own stories.
This school is not a mere learning space. It is a space for cultivating the arts and finding real enjoyment, for young and old alike. Regardless of age, everyone finds their place in a pleasant, friendly and open environment. Our aim is to spend our free time creatively, inspiring artistic creativity, ecological consciousness, teamwork and human interaction.
And if the weather is nice…all activities move outdoors and messy play (paint, mud kitchens, water balloon fights and much more) become a must. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes!
Activities (indicatively): Lego toys, board games, chess, lending library, crafts, VR and gaming, puppet theatre, role-playing games, play kitchens, sensory and free play! Balls, trampolines, hula hoops, and table tennis may be found in the courtyard!
