The second round of residency of Oros Ensemble in Vamvakou will be completed with a closing concert by the group on Saturday September, 4. The music group, that was born in the village, is getting established as an organic part of the place and its revival with a major concert with works that were prepared during the stay and coexistence of the ensemble in the village. Through this concert, Oros Ensemble is proposing a new model of music-symbiotic reality, with music organically incorporated into the heart of a small community.
Oros Ensemble is an ensemble of chamber music that was created in Vamvakou in 2020 by a group of six musicians, within the framework of the residency programme realized by Vamvakou Revival, with the contribution of the Greek National Opera (GNO) and the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
