Gadjo Dilo in Vamvakou

Gadjo Dilo marry the gipsy jazz tradition – drawing inspiration by the legendary guitarist of gypsy swing, Django Reinhardt – with all-time favourite Greek songs mainly of the ‘50s and ‘60s to create their own unique music style, “Manouche de Grec”. Starting from these two music cultures and experimenting on subsequent jazz sounds, the band will present for the closing ceremony of Vamvakou Mountain Run a program of a vivid Greek profile, but, also with references to the American jazz standards and the French songs of the Interwar period.
