An evening dedicated to the mountains, running and the stories born along the trail. Shortly before the start of the Vamvakou Mountain Run, let’s gather in the village square for a special evening featirung talks by the ones who live and breathe mountain running.
Ultrarunner Asimina Inglezou and runner and visual artist Giorgos Dimoulas share experiences, moments of endurance, inspiration and connection with nature in a discussion addressed both to runners and to those who love mountains and adventure.
Following the talks, the evening continues with a pasta party for all participants and their friends.
A few words about the speakers
Asimina Inglezou, originally from Lamia, is a mountain runner and mountaineer with significant international distinctions. She holds a Guinness World Record for the Fastest Completion of the Great Himalayan Trail on Foot (female) in Nepal 2024, a demanding route spanning hundreds of kilometers through the Himalayas. In 2026, she became the first Greek woman to summit Mount Makalu in the Himalayas at 8,485 meters, the fifth-highest mountain peak in the world. Through her athletic expeditions and endurance achievements, she inspires through her perseverance, inner strength and love for the mountains and nature.
Giorgos Dimoulas (SimpleG) is a visual artist who studied sculpture, drawing, and Byzantine icon painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts. In recent years, he has created large-scale murals in public and private spaces in Greece and abroad, while also maintaining an active presence in mountain running and ultradistance races. He has participated in events such as the Spartathlon, the Olympian Race, the Olympus Marathon, and international races including the Transgrancanaria and the Matterhorn Ultraks, bringing together art and the lived experience of the natural landscape.
