Right to Participate: Individuals over 18 years of age, in other words born before 16/06/2006, have the right to participate in the race. Participants must be in good physical condition and need to register, otherwise they will be excluded from the race.

Participant Cost: A symbolic fee of 5 Euros applies in order to participate in the race VAMVAKOU MOUNTAIN RUN of 7 km, however, any participant who wishes to make a donation for a philanthropic cause, are encouraged to offer a larger amount.

Participation: A participation is valid only when registered via the webpage. Once you have registered, you will receive an automatic confirmation reply, where detailed instructions and links will be included to submit your payment. Only paid entries are considered valid. In case someone wants to cancel their participation, they are kindly asked to do so via email they received, so that the place can be opened to others interested in participating.

Registration: Registration is limited to 200 participants for the 7 km race.

Race pack: All registered participants will get a participation (BIB) number and the timing chip, a bag for their personal items, a souvenir t-shirt of the race, a medal award and a light snack at the finish line.

Electronic timing: Electronic timing will apply on the 7 km race

Cut-off time: 3 hours

Do you love running and are looking for alternative races on mountain trails and surrounded by the natural environment? Do you like to run and gaze at the lush landscape and the clusters of trees? Are you looking for races with uphill, downhill and distances at a high altitude? Are you preparing for a bigger mountain run race and looking for a nice event to “train”? Then Vamvakou Mountain Run, is exactly what you are looking for! The sports event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 16, 2024, and is being realized for the fourth consecutive year in the village of Vamvakou, Laconia, by Vamvakou Revival within the framework of the initiative for the revival of the village with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The individuals interested are invited to register here. A symbolic participation fee of 5 Euros applies. This year, the amount collected will be used to support civil protection works on Mount Parnon, in the wider area of Vamvakou, in order to preserve the natural wealth of the area, but also safety and security issues.

At Vamvakou Mountain Run there is an official electronic timing, so that all runners know their performance. All runners will receive a commemorative participation medal, while there will also be awards for best performance. In addition to the awards, the event will ruffle ticket draw with a gift for one lucky participant from each route. For the 7km. A COROS PACE 2 watch will be drawn. At 13:30, the closing ceremony of the 7 km-race will take place where medals will be awarded.

Awards

During the closing ceremony, medals will be awarded to the first 3 winners of the general rank for both Men and Women. Moreover, the first three winners from age group 18-39, 40-59, 60+ will also be awarded. From these awards, participants who have already received an award will be excluded from the general rank.
