October is Walnut Month in Vamvakou and the houses are always filled with the aroma of walnut cake. The women of our village know well the secrets of a recipe passed down from generation to generation and they will be delighted to share them on Sunday 10 October, in a pastry workshop celebrating the most famous fruit of our region! The Women’s Cooperative “I Vamvakia” invites you to a sweet gathering at the village school and asks only that you be willing to get your hands messy, experiment, taste and, of course, take home something more than just a recipe
