At a time when images dominate words and artificial intelligence has entered everyday life, this workshop, designed and implemented in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), integrates smart technologies creatively, offering an active and innovative learning experience.
Participants are first introduced to the graphic novel* as a self-contained comics format that has been experiencing significant growth. Working in groups, they will create an original storyboard for a short narrative. By making use of AI, participants will then “construct” a digitally illustrated story, offering a new reading and visual experience. At the end of the workshop, the graphic novel will be digitized into a flipbook format that may be sent to all participants.
*What exactly is a graphic novel? A graphic novel is a narrative genre that combines literature with the art of illustration through the storytelling language of comics. It is aimed at adult audiences, while its structure resembles that of a novel or short story.
