Save the date: Sunday July, 03, 2022, Vamvakou Laconia
A unique running mountain race, the Vamvakou Mountain Run, will be realized for the second time on the Parnonas mountain range, with the village of Vamvakou serving as the starting point and finish line. The sports event will be incorporated into the Vamvakou Revival initiative, realized with the guidance and financial support of Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
The Run includes two routes, of 17 miles and 4 miles respectively. The runners will flood the paths of the wider area of Parnonas, without competing though for a prize. However, all the runners’ time was recorded. Its purpose was to showcase the natural beauty of the wider area.
