28/11/2026 – 06/01/2027: Find the pieces of the compass and it will lead you to Christmas, at Vamvakou Santa School
Every year, Santa travels with a magical compass to guide him, the one that shows him the way to Christmas. This year, however, over Mount Parnon, something went wrong: the compass was lost, and its pieces were scattered across the small village of Vamvakou in Laconia. From 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, Vamvakou Santa School sets up a Christmas mission full of adventure and imagination. With the “compass map” in hand, young and old take on missions, search for the lost pieces, and help Santa find his way again to the most magical Christmas.
The stations of the mission
The magical world of “Santa’s Lost Compass” comes alive and kicks off the fun missions, with a piece of the compass hidden at every station. An inflatable climbing wall invites you to conquer its peaks. A search maze hides secrets around every turn. Obstacle and balance courses test your agility and reflexes. Target and accuracy games, such as cornhole and tic-tac-toe with basketball hoops, as well as archery, call for skill and a steady aim, while a giant Jenga tests the steadiness of your hand. Along the way, a huge snowball becomes the ultimate photobooth for souvenir photos, and you can also leave your letter to Santa, make wonderful crafts, transform yourself with face painting, and treat yourself to the surprises hidden inside the village school.
Creative workshops
The programme is enriched with creative workshops for all ages and tastes. And what don’t we make in Vamvakou: from candles and soaps to wooden ornaments, badges, Christmas cookies and cards. We also take part in 3D painting, 3D printing and virtual reality experiences, activities for the whole family that give us, every time, even more reasons to love the village on Mount Parnon.

The compass hunt begins on 28 November
The compass hunt begins on Saturday 28 November, on a day full of music, play and joy, with the lighting of the Christmas tree in the village square. Santa leaves his sleigh for a moment, hops on the Powered Bike and, with the power of the pedals, lights up the village.

When the compass points towards joy, love and “togetherness”, who needs GPS? The magic of Christmas is hiding in Vamvakou, and the best adventures are on their way!
